Thank the RSC...

Yet again, it is time to thank the conservatives of the Republican Study Committee for keeping Republican congressmen in line. Due to the actions of Rep. Mike Pence (R-IN), chairman of the RSC, leadership in the House has finally decided to move forward on the proposed spending cuts that they've been so adamantly opposed to in previous months.

Recently, even House Republicans have discussed raising taxes as an option, a move that Pence labeled as "an element of the last straw." I couldn't have said it better myself. There is a time for talk and half-measures, but now is the time for action. We must confront the mammoth spending increases under, of all things, Republican leadership in Congress. And for now, we can thank our lucky stars that we have representatives like Mike Pence fighting the good fight to keep our wayward leaders in check.
