Bloggers Strike Again!

After a flurry of criticism arose due to an altered picture on USA Today that made Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice look like she had "demon eyes", the publication has issued a correction in their online article regarding her statement that troops could be in Iraq up to 10 years.

Editor's note: The photo of Condoleezza Rice that originally accompanied this story was altered in a manner that did not meet USA TODAY's editorial standards. The photo has been replaced by a properly adjusted copy. Photos published online are routinely cropped for size and adjusted for brightness and sharpness to optimize their appearance. In this case, after sharpening the photo for clarity, the editor brightened a portion of Rice's face, giving her eyes an unnatural appearance. This resulted in a distortion of the original not in keeping with our editorial standards.

Due to Michelle Malkin's excellent coverage of the debacle, USA Today finally changed the picture overnight with the accompanying note. And they say bloggers don't do news. Well, if "news" is what the "MSM" puts out, then you're damn right we don't. We do the TRUTH!

Jer Bear, I sincerely like the way you think but I guess I should read it before Drudge since you take some of the stuff from there. I suggest you should start to be your own Drudge if you like that sort of thing. call me creative but it can be called the "Wick Report". It has quite a ring to it, I think.

What are you getting at? Drudge does the same thing. He uses links from other sites and usually provides none of his own feedback. Why are you giving Jeremy such a hard time?
