Marine Corp's 230th Birthday

Today is the 230th birthday of the United States Marine Corps. Probably the most dedicated set of troops in the world, these soldiers are typically the first to arrive and the last to leave a battlefield. Their stories of bravery and courage in service of this country are known to nearly every American.

Semper fidelis, marines. You've most definitely earned a celebration in honor of your 230th year.

As I'm off to class now, I will attempt to put together a short tribute this evening detailing some cases of heroism by marines in various conflicts throught history.
