Bush Names New Fed Chair...

A few minutes ago, President Bush named economist Ben Bernanke as Alan Greenspan's successor as chairman of the Federal Reserve in a White House press conference.

This move was widely expected as Bernanke is highly qualified and an excellent choice in light of some of Bush's trick plays recently regarding nominations to key positions.

News story regarding the appointment at Breitbart.com and coverage/analysis on CNBC.

Hope Bush picked a good guy. At least this nomination should take a minute or two of heat away from the Miers nomination. Maybe that will give Bush enough time to think about withdrawing the Miers nomination.

Jeremy ol' boy - I'm surprised to see how much attention my offhand link to Berkeley's study and your subsequent posting drew! I'll be honest, I didn't even read the damn study, I just saw the first lines and I knew it was good enough for me ;) heh heh

anyway, I'll miss old Greenspannie. Haven't you begun to figure out who I am yet?
